Meet Miss U.S. Latina 2017
Yesenia Villaseñor
Yesenia Villaseñor from California was crowned Miss U.S. Latina 2017
on October 7, 2017 in Huatulco, Mexico.  The Oaxaca Theater of the
Barceló Huatulco Hotel was the stage for this year’s competition that saw
the 24-year-old Sacramento resident take home the national title last won
by her state back in 2001.

Born in Modesto, California of Mexican descent, Yesenia aspires to a
broadcast and journalism career and is presently a communications
major at California State University.  She is also currently employed by
the State of California.

Yessenia plans on continuing her volunteerism in her community, as well
as being a voice for issues and causes that affect  Latinos. Her passion
is to contribute to the enrichment of lives and improving the community
around her. She spends her free time with her loving family and singing
in her church choir.

Growing up with her mother as her role model, Yesenia has learned to
value and appreciate the importance of family unity - working together
and supporting each other. Her mother has inspired her to strive for her
goals through dedication, discipline and hard work. She hopes to bring
that message to a wider audience now as MISS U.S. LATINA 2017.
